Bank Al-Jazira sets new milestone in Saudi Arabia with the implementation of the planfocus cash cycle solution CCO® for managing its end-to-end cash processes
To further increase process efficiencies and extend its leadership in ATM management in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Bank Al-Jazira (BAJ) selected planfocus Cash Cycle Optimizer (CCO®) for its unrivalled performance in optimizing the cash supply chain.
BAJ decided to implement the entire end-to-end suite of Cash Cycle Optimization modules of Germany-based planfocus software. The project covers all ATM, cash center, packaging and counting processes as well as the optimization of bank branch holdings with CCO®.
Specifically, for the region, CCO® reflects the Islamic calendar requirements, in which effects on withdrawal activities may shift due to the different weekends and payroll schedules. For the delivery of the required ATM data, the latest client software was installed on the devices and adaptations were made to automatically achieve counter-setting during the device service in order to avoid manual errors. As the result, the already well-organized and innovative cash processes of BAJ were further optimized, leading to significant cost reductions and auditable end-to-end processes.
With the seamless integration covered throughout the implementation phases, Bank Al-Jazira will be in a position to control its entire cash processes with the Cash Cycle Optimizer CCO® solution, including:
- Connectivity and integration of all self-service systems,
- Fully automated ATM and branch forecasting and replenishments, reaching unrivalled cost-reduction and service level agreements (SLAs),
- Automated inventory control of cash center holdings,
- Integrated tour optimization to meet available CIT capacities,
- Integration of all cash counting and processing systems in branches and cash centers,
- Automated track & trace of order shipments,
- Asset management of ATM cassettes for all self-service devices.
The implementation of the first phases of the end-to-end software suite CCO® of planfocus, carried out jointly with Riyadh-based integration partner ABABA, is a major milestone for Bank Al-Jazira and its scope is unique in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will stand as a model case for the entire Middle East region.
